Yayyyyyyyyy!!

http://www.meltingpot.com/upload/locations/104/V%20Day%2009%20Menu%20-%20Web.pdf

Corey and I are going fonduing for Valentine's Day! The Melting Pot is my favorite restaurant, I'm so excited :-D

Snow Day Ct'd

I forgot to mention how my new classes are going!

College Writing - It's online, but so far it's not so bad. No real thoughts...

Macroeconomics - If you remove the very far left bias, my professor actually makes a lot of sense and it seems like it'll be a great class.  Wayyyyyy better than Micro, with my non-English speaking awful professor. Never again.

Life Science and Lab - They are basically two separate classes... My life science class is basically a joke and will be wicked easy, and oh man do I need an easy class. My lab is going to be a lot of work and for some reason I have to go down to a museum in Boston for a lab and pass in the lab report before April 30th? I have no idea when I'll have time for that!

Marketing Oppurtunities - I LOVE LOVE LOVE this class already. I love marketing and I get to write a marketing plan! Those are my favorite :-)

Financial Accounting - This class will be a lot of work, but it seems interesting. I'm not exactly a numbers person, but it's a core required class so wish me luck!

Management Precalc - This is going to be a fun class I think, and easy too. I took it at MCC, but since it was Business Precalc I it only transferred as a math elective. Stupid, but I'm glad to never have to deal with a community college again. EVER.

This is going to be a really tough and draining semester. 7 classes and working 15-20 hours a week.... Scary but last night Corey told me he'd be there for me for support, and I know for a fact that my dad and my awesome friends will be there for me too.

I'm in a really good place :-)

Snow Day!

I love love love love snow days.

No work. No school. Just me, Corey, and my homework. Not ideal, but you know what? Not bad.

I still suck at drawers, but I'm slightly better! Hurray! Even though Fil and I were at work till 10 and even though I almost cried AND even though I publicly bashed the Front End Asst in charge for overwhelming me and generally sucking at his job, I wasn't told I screwed up big... I'm getting better :-)

It was weird, but some taxi driver who drove me to work (I was tired and needed the extra 40 minutes of sleep; I had a longggg day) came in an hour and a half later and asked me out. Filomena could hardly stifle her laughter, I was wicked embarassed... It's never a boring day at Market Basket!

For the first time, I'm actually holding myself a large birthday party. Facebook and Myspace invitations out, my 22nd is gonna have so far 14 people for sushi and hibachi goodness and maybe 10 others. Hurray! So far, still waiting on 12 other people to get back to me :-)

It's almost Goober Holiday week!

Quickie

First day of classes were fun, but I'll be very busy this semester. It'll all be worth it in the end :-)

Back to homework... :-(

Happy 42nd mom!

Boots!

So because I always plan ahead, I decided to buy me the winter boots that I've needed since November :-P. They are pretty cute:

$60, so it hurt my wallet a little bit but at least they are quality boots (with real sheepskin!) and they are nice and warm and fuzzy... You can't believe how hard it is to find winter boots in the winter!

School starts tomorrow, and I'm pretty excited. I'm getting myself all set up and prepped, giving myself a manicure and pedicure, plucking the eyebrows. I have to get up pretty early - I have to pick up my lab book at the bookstore around 8am, because I have a lab my first day, eek!

I feel like I had more to say, but I'm tired and forgot. Oh well, haha!

Happy Friday!

I cleaned my room, now I'm no longer embarassed to show you guys   :-)

Click for big!
I have a set theme with my room - red, cream, and black. I'm so proud of it, and I think it's GORGEOUS. I have pictures of all my favorite moments and my photography all over the walls, it's my little oasis.

My Titanic Boston Globe from 1912, the picture Corey drew me, some of my favorite pictures :-)

The "Corey Wall". The bookshelves and stuff, I put them all together. I only screwed up once :-)

Can you tell I love red?

3 more days! I'm actually pretty excited, especially now that I learned I'm getting a $600 refund from my school yay!

Girls Night - Pictures!!

I had a super fun night with my friend Kristen - I used to work with her at Bruker and I love that even though we don't see each other much, we're still super close. We're sisters, haha :-)

Last night we went to Capellini's in Tewksbury for some delicious Italian and then went to downtown Somerville to go to Sally O'Brien's to check out her coworker, Paddy Saul play acoustic solo. Can I just say how much I loved him? Irish indie acoustic, and he's really good. He's playing next Thursday, I'm working 6-9:30ish but I'd still like to make it somehow. No cover, and lots of Irish accents, you can't go wrong!

As always, click for big!

Margaritas that tasted like there wasn't any tequila haha

Looking gorgeous while watching Paddy Saul

I take one everyone time. Cute gangster haha what can I say I'm from Lowell

Kristen, Paddy, me - Bruker people :-D

Super gorgeous couple :-)

Love love love this shot :-)

Brrr! It's cold outside!

:-(

I feel like an idiot.

I really do.

I really thought I contributed enough, I really thought I tried to include him... It's never enough.

And it always happens after a beautiful day together.

I'm wicked upset right now.... It doesn't help that my degu, I thought she was dead. She escaped from her cage and I was so stressed about finding a little corpse... I'm so happy Garrette and my dad helped me find her.

I just don't know what to do anymore :-(

6 Days.

I'm pretty sure yesterday was one of the best days of this winter vacation. In addition to going to the most hilariously violent AHL hockey game ever (the Lowell Devils are apparently sore losers), the trip to the Village Steakhouse was a blast. Great food, delicious drinks, and AWESOME conversation. I was cracking up the ENTIRE time.

And it was with Corey's coworkers; namely his manager, Steve, and his peers Shawn/Sean(?), Chip, and Sanchez, who is apparently now Secular Sanchez. I joke with Corey that I had even more fun than he did :-). Who says I can't be one of the boys?

I want to work at his job, if only they had a "Jen" position :-P.

Later than night was even better. You know when you have certain days in your relationship where you just feel yourself get closer and even more in love with the person you're with? We may have our fights, but I just know that I'm head over heels in love with Corey, and I know he feels the same exact way for me. We're really lucky to have found each other <3

I'm seeing Garrette tonight for some Long Island Iced Teas and banana pancakes. Day 2 of off the diet apparently lol

Ooooh as another note: Pink's album Funhouse? Definitely the best pop album of 2008, check it out!

8 More Days

Till school. At this point, I'm eager to go back to school... I'm stressing and it's time for this vacation to end...

Yesterday I was sick and it was a horrible experience overall. Being sick was one thing, but what came of it, well, I'm still a little shook up from it. I'm sad I had to miss Corinne's engagement party, I really wanted to go :-(

Where did the time go?

So I have 11 days till school starts back up and I have been keeping myself very busy. I have lost a total of 5 pounds, which is disappointing but I've been having a lot of fun so I guess it's not so bad. Seriously, where does the time go?

I decided today that I'll never get the downstairs bathroom painted, but I really want to try anyway.

So I'm pretty excited: Corey is staying over my house tonight. Still have a lot of cleanup to do, but I'm making him homemade pizza, which he loves :-). Plus, he'll get to play with Spike and be nice to her (right? :-P). My dad said she is very frustrated because my dad has been wicked busy and doesn't come home and pet and worship her anymore. She has this new thing where the attic is the play area, it's so cute how she acts like a kitten... A very overweight one however as she wheezes in 2 minutes, haha!

Tomorrow and Saturday I'm working with Kayla, so I'm excited. Last night I worked for the first time with Filomena and I think she's ADORABLE. I'm incredibly slow on drawers I learned, and I need to get better ASAP, but she was so good about it, even though we got out 20 minutes late on a Wednesday night...

Saturday night is Kathy's birthday, so happy early birthday to her! Corey and I will be going to Corinne and Ron's engagement party, I'm so excited for them! They've been dating forever, I can't wait to hear the story behing the engagement...

Tuesday I'm seeing Garrette for Long Island Iced Teas and pancakes, hopefully Corey can join us for at least the pancakes. Garrette's making me banana pancakes, my FAVORITE. Yum yum! Thursday I'm seeing the always beautiful Kristen Costa for dinner and Friday I'm seeing my grandma for lunch and Corey's dad for dinner, I'm guessing.

I both hate and love TLC's A Baby Story.  I hate it because it's addictive and makes me bawl my eyes out (I loooove babies). I love it because sometimes you get these really great episodes where the guy obviously loves his wife and baby so much... One episode I watched she had to go in for an emergency C-Section at 35 weeks and the epidural made her sick. He kept telling her how beautiful she was and how much he loved her even with puke on her face! I totally started crying because I was like THAT'S HOW COREY'S GONNA BE SOMEDAY!

Oh I can be so emotional... This new birth control has definitely made me less psycho and more emotional and lovey, Yaz is working for me wayyyyy better than NuvaRing FYI. No babiessssss

Yay!!

Kayla, Courtney, and I are going to Lady Gaga at the Boston House of Blues on March 30th!

Soooooo excited :-)

It's gonna be a great girls night out

Lots to say...

- So on Saturday I reported the manager who had been bothering me since before Christmas, it was at a point where I had no choice; Corey was starting to look for him to say something to him, Kayla was going to yell at him, all the girls in the booth were wicked uncomfortable. I have a habit of just blowing things off or minimizing them or ignoring them so it wasn't until I talked to the store manager that I realized how upset I was by his actions. I nearly started crying and turned bright red (as I do when I get hurt, upset, embarassed, etc), and the store manager had to tell me to calm down. On Sunday, the manager stopped by and apologized profusely for touching me (rubbing my belly, kissing me on the cheek), saying inappropiate things (telling me he wants me, asking me what my boyfriend and I do, etc etc), and whistling at me, asking me if I was in high school (ewwww)... He was obviously embarassed and I almost felt a little bad for him, but he should know better, he even stuttered out that he was old enough to be my father! Ick! He couldn't help but point out that I was pretty and approachable and friendly and always smiley, so I guess that's why he thought it was a good idea to upset me?  Hahaha. Oh my life is so weird...

- Speaking of MB managers, I had lunch with Aisei yesterday ( Kayla and I call him Ace Face). He bought me my Greek salad, and talked margaritas, red wine, and floor tile... Jared later asked me how my date went, I'll keep that in mind when he goes to lunch with Mr. Timm :-P.

- Speaking of dates, Jess W. has decided I now have a Dunbar (the money people) boyfriend. His name is Carlos and it's his weekend job; during the week he drives the MVRTA. I think it's required that each booth girl has her own Dunbar boyfriend, so I'm just glad I'm fitting in, haha. My Lawrence boyfriend and I broke up because he kept cheating on me with Liz, so it was about time I moved on after this heartwrenching breakup. Corey just shakes his head at me and laughs.

- I got to work 7 and a half hours yesterday on drawers, thanks to Sandy and Kayla and Jess. Can I just say I love Jess W.? She helped me out so much, she's the best :-). I don't close on drawers, but she let me get the practice as it was slow and she is just so quick and efficient she was able to get us out of work at 7:30 on a Sunday.  Kayla said she had an emergency, so I was happy to take the hours. I believe her, but whether she did or didn't, I still think she's awesome and I look forward to closing with her on Friday <3.

- Team Corey and Jen are still UNSTOPPABLE in Taboo. Bethany, this time, brought on board Jay, who was a formidable opponent, but his tiredness really held him back. Once Jay is rested, rematch? He was a great teammate too, we just barely lost to Team Sciuto.

- Can I just say how lucky I am that not only do I have a great boyfriend, but a great boyfriend that can cook? Last night he made the JUICIEST most delicious chicken breast, and I'm pretty sure I devoured the whole thing. He's the best <3>

- Yesterday I had a wicked bad migraine, it started up after we left Kathy's house, awful awful light sensitivity and nausea. It was so bad I had to hide under a blanket because I couldn't handle any light at all. The culprit? That Slimquick stuff... It was on sale at CVS, it promised more energy, I figured I'd try it. First day on it, I almost cried from the pain; you can be sure I won't try it a second day. I'll see if I can return it.

- Saturday was a wicked fun day. Corey and I stopped by AJs house and his mom gave me this awesome recipe for Butterscotch Crunch treats. It's Jenproof, so I'll be making it soon. We also had a ceremony to mark the end of the Chelmsford Challenge trophy that AJ recieved 9 years ago. Can I just say that 9 year old Chelmsford ginger ale is not so good? We all went to Margaritas and I am so jealous of all the traveling AJ has done! Hopefully he made the drive safely to DC, I wanna visit soon!

After that, we headed down to see Keri at this place called Charlies. Her mom's friend owns it, and it was the grand opening so we wanted to check it out. I liked the dance floor, but not so much the old crazy guy. Singing Womanizer with Keri's uncle was pretty fun :-). Pictures of Saturday will be up probably tomorrow...

- Oh and you want to know what a good girlfriend I am? Burger King has this new promotion that if you delete 10 of your Facebook friends, you get a free Whopper. Corey loves Whoppers and guess who has like 30 needless Facebook friends? Yea, Corey is excited for when his coupon comes in the mail.

That's it for now, or at least that's all I can think of. I can't go out until the laundry is done, but I have a few errands to run, and then I can enjoy my day off. I'm seeing my sweetie tonight, so I'm pretty excited :-)

Hahahah

Apparently I said I was going to be 22 next week. Only I meant next month.

Wow.

And I just wanted to say that MB is such an inappropiate place, wowwwww. More later.

Lazy lazy lazy

Today is such a lazy day, I'm so tired. My dad's alarm went off at 6 am and well since he was out all night, he didn't hear it.

For half an hour.

And then when he would hear it, he would press snooze. And this went on till 8 am.

I'm working tonight with Kayla and then seeing Corey tonight. I'm excited :-)

Oh and I decided I really hate my job, yea, I definitely only got 11.5 hours for next week. I'll be 22 next week, that's ridiculous.

Christmas After Christmas

Ooops I forgot to post the pictures from Corey's Dad's Christmas After Christmas (hahaha special editing for the words). Click for big:

Corey and I shortly after we arrived

Corey finally got a nice new robe to replace his old ratty one :-)

I really am a giant kid, I love presents

Corey's dad Dave and his wife Mary

I was quite the festive photog, no?

Everyone opening presents and such

Nice shot of everyone, Bethany thought she had to kneel though :-(

We all had a great time. It was a great holiday overall for everyone this year, I think.

Random.

I'm in a wicked happy mood right now, it's funny, I just needed a few days at my house with my pets. It was nice, I missed them a lot. Corey stayed over last night so I got the best of all worlds, and I've been having a ton of fun with my dad. I feel complete again, my pets are my family.

Lily, my degu. What's a degu? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Degu

Lily after a dustbath on her perch.

My dad holding Lily :-). Or maybe her sister Daisy, but Daisy died last year from diabetes :-(

Hi Momma!

Spike, my kitty. She's a Maine Coon Calico Mix. Crazy Maine Coon personality and tail, and a ball of fluff.

She gets really furry, so I shave her in the summer

Spike being very helpful when I was putting together furniture for my room

Me and the prettiest kitty everrrrr <3

Spike loves bags. It's an obssesion for her

I'm such an old lady sometimes: I love to play Bingo online, I do crossword puzzles all the time, and the only part I read of the Sunday paper is the coupons, haha. I have to go to CVS tomorrow and use my coupons for vitamins and healthy stuff. I'm getting some good bargains, like Centrum and Caltrate for $3.99 each with my $3 off coupon and sale price. Hahahaha I'm learning to be a bargain shopper, wow. It's actually kind of a big deal for me, because I'm a bit of spendthrift. P.S. Dad, I did use the word right, it doesn't mean you save money :-P http://www.answers.com/spendthrift

So, as I was saying. I'm in such a good mood - I'm really enjoying my month off. Last night was an amazing night, I love seeing him, even watching DVDs we have so much fun together... We watched a Smashing Pumpkins documentary, If All Goes Wrong and it only really reinforces that Billy Corgan has a giant ego.

Tonight we're hanging out at his house, he's playing Knights of the Old Republic on XBox. I finally got him into it, haha. I'm in a dancing mood though, I even made Corey dance with me on the kitchen floor. Still not graceful by the way.

Tomorrow, Garrette and I are going on an adventure to try a scorpion bowl. Since we are both VERY against drunk driving, we're going to take the bus to Burlington to go to Bamboo. Very creative eh? I'm excited!

Tuesday I'm seeing Keri, and we're going to eat steak salads, yum! She asked me to come to her wedding and I'm so excited that we're getting to be really good friends. She's a sweetheart and a half...

I ran today for a half hour, I didn't get to take a picture of it. I intend to work really hard and lose that weight, I'm soooo gonna do it.  I'm motivated :-). Going out and drinking doesn't help butI'm broke anyway(school bill due the 9th) so I can't exactly go out much anyway. Just for the next couple days and Saturday.

Oh, I did inventory today at MB for the first time. That was awful, and I busted my knee because I am a goofball who did not realize I was on the 2nd (top step) and went down as if I was on the 1st step. Go me!

Saturday, January 3, 2009

:-)

I had a blast with my dad on our Great Microwave Purchasing Expedition of 2009. It's good to be home for the weekend, and I'm really happy that Corey will be over tomorrow night :-)

I missed Spike and Lily, my pets, so much. I was seriously going psycho from the withdrawals, I hadn't been home in a week! Haha.

So yea, time to keep cleaning my room, eek! It's a disaster area...

Thursday, January 1, 2009

New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! Stay warm, it's so cold out :-(

Remind me not to watch Corey play Knights of The Old Republic, or at least learn to stop trying to help. Our playing styles are different, so I'm pretty sure we've been trying to hold back killing each other for the past three hours...

Oh isn't love grand? :-P
